Founder and Managing Partner of Tacopina & Seigel, Joe Tacopina has received praise from peers and the media as a premier trial attorney. He graduated from the Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1991 and obtained his license in 1992. Mr. Tacopina handles all types of felony and misdemeanor offenses, and white-collar crimes and ensures he offers only the best representation to help clients address their legal concerns.

Together with his team at Tacopina & Seigel, Mr. Tacopina specializes in securities litigations matters, including regulatory disciplinary actions, arbitrations, SEC complaints, and the formation of brokerage firms. On top of his career as an attorney, he is a successful businessman, buying Venezia F.C. in 2015. He serves as the football club’s President, Chairman, and Board Member.

Joe Tacopina volunteers his time as an adjunct faculty member at Cardozo Law School ‘s Intense Trial Advocacy Program and as an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School. He lectures on various legal issues throughout the country. He is also a judge for Yale Law School’s Mock Trial Association. For his extensive litigation experience in both federal and state court, he has been AV-rated by his peers in Martindale Hubble.

Having tried more than 80 cases at age 42, Mr. Tacopina earned recognition from the media as the “hottest young criminal lawyer” in New York. In his years as a prosecutor at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, he prevailed in 39 of 40 trials.
