Joe Tacopina
Joe Tacopina is the founder and Managing Partner of the Manhattan-based Law Offices of Tacopina & Seigel. He is a member of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, the Federal Bar Council, and the Judicial Committee for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Tacopina serves on the Legislative Committee for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Mr. Tacopina volunteers his time as an adjunct faculty member at Cardozo Law School’s Intense Trial Advocacy Program and does lectures about various legal issues throughout the country. He is also a judge for Yale Law School’s Mock Trial Association and has been AV-rated by his peers in Martindale Hubble. Having tried more than 80 cases by the time he was 42, he has earned media’s recognition as the “hottest young criminal defense lawyer” in the city of New York.
Joe Tacopina handles all types of felony and misdemeanor offenses, and white-collar crimes, ensuring only the best representation to help clients address their legal needs. Moreover, he specializes in securities litigations matters, including regulatory disciplinary actions, arbitrations, SEC complaints, and the formation of brokerage firms.
An alumnus of the Quinnipiac University School of Law (formerly known as University of Bridgeport Law School), Mr. Tacopina obtained his license in 1992. He speaks both Italian and English, and he recently purchased Venezia F.C., an Italian football club, and leads the management as its President, Chairman, and Board Member.
